At this time in our history we have “forgotten our story” so says Matthew Kelly. I for one agree with him, as Catholics it has been "hard times", and because of this not only have we forgotten our story but we are allowing others to tell it for us. Now is the time for us to BE BOLD BE CATHOLIC.
Therefore starting this coming January 2012 we will embark on a year long mission, a Faith Symposium and our theme will be “Who we are – Whose we are”.
Some 55 events have already been scheduled for this great event, these events will, I pray engage us to reflect on the beauty and relevance of our Roman Catholic faith. Throughout the year, as a faith community we will journey together, we will pray together, learn together, break bread together, be empowered together. Together we will hopefully encounter Christ and together bring Him into the World. Together I hope we will come to know how much God Loves us, that He has created us for a purpose! Together I hope we will come to know who we are as individuals, and that we are indeed God’s Holy People.
Together let us embark on this Journey together, together let us open our minds and Hearts to God’s call, God’s presence. Together let us entrust our journey our faith community to God’s abundant Grace and Blessings.

Pray for our Faith Community
Heavenly Father, You have chosen our faith community as the vehicle by which You encounter us in our daily lives. The faith community is the assembly in which your Word is proclaimed, your Eucharist is celebrated, your people are united in a local community and subdivided into smaller groups so that they may become the agent of change for thebetterment of the whole world and Your Church.
Make our parishioners aware of the many opportunities and responsibilities that are theirs as witnesses of You to our age. Keep us open to our need of your love and fellowship.
Bless us on this journey of faith, our discovery of
“who we are - whose we are”
